How to set Value for Dynamic Text Box

Any idea how I can populate value for Dynamic Text Box? I can't find any example anywhere.

I believe it might be something like this but it doesn't work.

$evm.root['dialog_instance_id'] = '123456789'

It seems like I can set the text box value using the following syntax:

$evm.object['value'] = '123456'
