A core part of the OMF is the development and adoption of standards, protocols and best practices. What relevant standards already exist that should be considered for adoption? What further standards do we need? When listing these please try to indicate for which type of models these standards would/should be suitable.
Most parts of our charter avoid restricting the term "models". Only in the resources section a distinction is made between computational models and other types of models such as numerical and conceptual models. It would be good to assemble a glossary of different modeling terms, such as: theoretical models, conceptual models, physical models, statistical models, numerical models, computational models, software, workflows, schematization, application, and discuss the different standards that their FAIRness [subject to topic 1] requires.
What standards and models would you like to focus on?
