wp-ckan-backend lets editors maintain datasets and other CKAN contents from within the WP dashboard. The representation of the records is managed by CKAN itself so when editors click on the view link under Datasets > all datasets (for example) they are taken to the ckan instance.
Considering that the record's metadata is stored on WP as part of the post's custom meta ( please correct me if I am wrong), it should be possible to render this information programatically for each record.
The challenge could be on how to render also the record's resources, preview its contents, etc...
