I have been using Omnivore for several months now and am very fond of the app - thank you so much for this!
For context, I only use either the web app in a Linux desktop or the PWA on Android from Chrome. The problem referred to here occurs in both.
When I first started to use Omnivore, it was very snappy and responsive. However, over the last few months loading the initial feed has become very slow - taking anywhere from 40 seconds to a full minute to load. The progress bar speeds across until about 90% of the way across the screen, and then crawls very slowly for a long time. Once the feed loads once, afterwards the app is responsive.
I know this may seem to overlap with #3472 but that issue included references to network problems (getting on a subway). In my case the issue seems to arise regardless of what kind of network I am using - even a reliable broadband connection has the same performance.
