Over the years I've considered creating a similar plugin for alias management, or adding alias management to zsh-abbr.
The motivation has been low because I heavily favor abbreviations over aliases (as of this writing I have two aliases). But maybe it's a feature people want.
It'd be easier to maintain as a zsh-abbr feature than as a standalone plugin.
The user-facing change would be for add, erase, fish, git, rename, list, list-abbreviations, and list-commands to learn an --alias flag. --alias would tell zsh-abbr to create an alias rather than an abbreviation.
Give this an upvote if you'd like zsh-abbr to manage aliases.
