i see that there are tags for versions (1.3.0), but I cannot find a changelog. A changelog would help to understand whether I need to make any changes to my configuration, when upgrading.

Hi @jpmckinney! Our releases page attempts to be fairly comprehensive with regards to fixes and features, but we can definitely consider adding or automating the creation of a full changelog to the repo.

Ah, cool! Maybe just put a link to that in the readme, and/or create a CHANGES file with an instruction to visit that page.
