gpt4all.open() doesnt work

It just keeps waiting and waiting but it never actually loads the model, please fix this

Figured it out. Make sure you OS is up to date. If your using mac then make sure you on ventura

I'm having this same issue and on the latest version of Ventura, any ideas as to what could be causing this?

After upgrading to ventura it worked for me. The tip off was when I tried to run the mac executable directly in the terminal it spat out an error saying that the executable had been compiled for Ventura. After upgrading it worked for me.

Maybe your machine doesnt have the specs to run it ?

16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Startup is a litle slow so do give it a minute to fire up before giving up.
