In my first contribution to this repo I added .vscode to the .gitignore (here)

I'd like to actually go the other direction and check in a .vscode folder with some basic productivity settings my team uses day to day at work. I think this would really help encourage any other VSCode contributors to help with the project(it will certainly help me).

I understand if you don't want this and if so that's fine just let me know; I also would of course let what makes the cut ultimately your call. I'll share a copy of my team's working stuff if you have interest
