QtWebApp

Fork of QtWebApp by Stefan Frings with C++14 modernization and improvements.

Feature Overview

  • Multithreaded: can handle multiple requests and responses at once. your app should be thread-safe to avoid failure.
  • Simple to include into your project. (qmake)
  • SSL support
  • HTML templatizer
  • Supports Cookies
  • Static File Controller and MIME database support

How to use

Only qmake is supported right now. There are no plans to add CMake support yet, but that may change in the future :)

There are 4 components

  • HttpServer ─ the actual Server and TCP Socket Listener
  • templateengine ─ HTML templatizer (shares some similarities with Handlebars?)
  • logging ─ multithreaded non-blocking file logger (thread-safe)
  • qtservice ─ UNIX daemon and Windows Service wrapper to send app in the background

To include a component to your project add this to your .pro file.

include(QtWebApp/{component}.pri)

Include paths are setup accordingly and you can start developing instantly. Simple huh?

Include files in your project like so: <QtWebApp/{component}/...>

Planned Features

  • User-Agent parser (HttpServer)
Easily check against platforms and browsers without using regular expressions against the User-Agent HTTP header.
For now use request.getHeader("user-agent") to obtain the client sent user agent.

Notice regarding 御坂ーお姉さま

This fork is currently in co-development with the Discord™ bot misaka-oneesama as it is required to operate the Web UI. Report bugs against this repository only if you are sure it is really QtWepApp's fault.

This notice will be removed if the bot is more finished. I hope to continue my work on this after that and reboot this amazing library. It hasn't been updated since years.
