In the eae4017 commit of the macpan_ww repository, if you source MacPanWithWWModel.R, and choose option 1, there are around 30 warnings that say

In nlminb(tmb_params_trans(model), obj_fun$fn, obj_fun$gr, ... :
NA/NaN function evaluation
