I'd comment on the closed issue, but it is locked. Why don't you use the PHP function defined to check for the constant, if you want to avoid going OOP for such a small plugin?

I'd provide a pull request, but your somewhat idiosyncratic use of branches makes this difficult. Is there a reason you are uploading each version as a separate branch instead of developing from master and tagging the releases?

Version 1.0.3 is now available, fixes a lot of issues.

We are still transitioning onto GitHub, apologies as we settle into a procedure.
