Observed behavior

Currently a resource inherits all the metadata from all the parent folders above it.

Expected behavior

I would expect it to inherit only the metadata from the folder in which we are adding the resource so this should be further discussed.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to https://unstable.studio.learningequality.org/en/accounts/#/ and sign in
  2. Create a folder with some metadata, then create another folder within it with different metadata and proceed in the same manner

Additional information

folder.within.folder.mp4

Hi @pcenov. According to the design spec, this is currently intended behavior. I am however leaving this issue open and deprioritizing it so we can revisit it in the future incase the current implementation become a major sticking point to using the feature. cc @marcellamaki @rtibbles
