Hello! Are there plans to update this template to resolve the dependency Security issues? When I fork this from the template I get over 30 different dependency security alerts. Thanks!

Hey! I'm so used to getting Dependabot PRs automatically on other repos, I didn't realize it was an opt-in option I had to enable. Will take a look at this soon, although I'd also gladly accept a single large PR if you're feeling eager about sorting things out yourself.

That's good to know that it's not on by default! I'll look into it and see if I can sort through them. I'm pretty new to GitHub and fixing the dependency issues, but it doesn't look too complicated on the surface.
