"Accessory not found" with Scrypted re-install and Homekit pairing #556
-
I was running Scrypted in a Docker container on a RPi4 for months without issue. However, watchtower was creating 200+ Scrypted containers. So I blew away the existing Scrypted/watchtower containers, re-created them in Portainer (prior install was via CLI) using the v3.5 Docker compose. Re-added my Ring camera and the Homekit plugin. The Apple Home app now says "accessory not found" when trying to re-add the Ring Doorbell (accessory mode) via the QR code. Docker network is set to "host". This is with iOS/TVos 16.3.x. Prior Scrypted instance was added to Homekit probably with 16.1 or 16.2. No other network/router changes were made. Everything is on a single flat network. |

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but the accessory finally added to Homekit successfully. Not sure if it's relevant or not, but it worked right after I did a full container restart. |
