fieldwalkr

Project Status: Suspended – Initial development has started, but there has not yet been a stable, usable release; work has been stopped for the time being but the author(s) intend on resuming work.

fieldwalkr is a tool for designing and evaluating sampling strategies in spatial survey (fieldwalking in archaeological jargon). It contains functions for simulating the effect of different survey units, sampling methods and detection functions on the estimation of randomly generated or observed point processes.

Installation

devtools::install_github("joeroe/fieldwalkr")

Demo

An introduction to and short demonstration of the package was presented at the Landscape Archaeology Conference, Newcastle & Durham, September 2018. The slides are available as a shiny app (source repository).
