Feature Request: Better Media Modal Pop up

When attaching images the media library modal showing up is not the one showing up using 'Add Media' – several features are missing, such as add from url, the search drop down etc. It would be really good to make this modal more in line with the standard Wordpress Media modal – to be able to use custom media taxonomies etc..

That would be a nice feature, definitely. It'll take some more work on my end to dig through the core code. Definitely looking for some contributions here from those more familiar with Backbone.
