polysh depends on asyncore, however asyncore was deprecated in python 3.6 and removed in python 3.12.

Thanks for the report. We are internally using Debian which comes with Debian 3.11 so we haven't noticed yet but this won't be forever so we'll probably adjust it midterm.

Okay, thanks @kofrezo . I discovered this after installing polysh into a conda env that happens to be based on python 3.12. Glad to hear that an update is being considered.

I started to bring the tests back and will hopefully soon have a bit more time to start the porting.
