The following gets logged to *Messages*:

Error running timer ‘idle-highlight-in-visible-buffers-highlight-word-at-point’: (wrong-type-argument listp (foreground-color . "#8f8090008a00")) [2 times]

My configuration is pretty simple:

(use-package idle-highlight-in-visible-buffers-mode
  :ensure t
  :hook
  (prog-mode . idle-highlight-in-visible-buffers-mode))
