Is this Program still working?
I have installed the raspbian OS on my raspberry pi 4. Furthermore I installed the cec-client and xdotool as recommended. I see my Samsung TV on address 0.0.0.0 active and can shut it down with the command

echo "standby 0" | cec-client -s -d 1

but I do not get any keypress back from the remote control.

When I install libreelec with kodi, the remote control of my raspberry pi 4 works all as expected.

Do I something wrong?

I just ran into the same problem. But Arch Linux to your rescue. With cec-ctl -d/dev/cec0 --tv -S for my Samsung Anynet connector the problem vanishes. Calling cec-client -o raspi afterwards I received all input from my remote.
