Regarding Flickr, there are copyright issues with that site. Many, many photographers and university media relations centers have Flickr channels (several of which I know personally), and their repositories ARE copyrighted; they're only on Flickr to make distribution easier to people who have the legal right to use them.
Perhaps that Internet Book Image Archive collection specifically (what the current Flickr link goes to) isn't copyrighted? I'm not familiar with it, and I couldn't quickly determine just looking at it.
Flickr DOES have a copyright-released commons area, though. I would recommend providing a link to that but clarifying that most images on Flickr are copyrighted unless they're specifically designated otherwise.
P.S. - I love this resource! Thank you for curating this list. I teach a class on PowerPoint and Multimedia integration, coach faculty on course design, and I also write a lot of answers on Quora about this subject, and in all 3 venues I talk alot about copyright & digital media and I like to be able to recommend resources that aren't copyrighted or restricted. This list is extremely helpful for those purposes and is much appreciated.

Perhaps. What exactly would that entail?
I hadn't really thought of that, and I don't often have much to add at this
point (after all, I think it's a great collection). But I am constantly
looking for sites for images, music, and video that are copyright-free (or
free to license) to recommend to my students and faculty, so I'd be open to
contributing those or periodically checking the current listings.
