HackerspaceSG Booth at Makerfaire SG 2017

What

  • A set of ~6 2m*2m booths near each other, each with a 1.5m*0.3m table and a chair.
  • We've requested outdoors to permit radio operation, however if indoors then it may make sense to request field space near the river (not otherwise part of the Faire) to allow setting up antennas etc. for radio.

What We Intend to Show

  • (Roland) HF via kite/balloon and/or LEO satellite tracking with VHF/UHF antenna steering setup.
  • ? (HP Sparks)
  • ? (Howard) Gas-leak detection prototype
  • ? (Royce) Something in the amateur radio space, if he chooses to exhibit with us
  • ? (Adrian) (Bob) 3D printing
  • ? (Hakim) ROV
  • ? (Min Lin) Concrete Art
  • ? Any members of visiting hackerspaces who are intending to exhibit anyway, but would like to do so under a general "hackerspaces village" umbrella

Resources Required

  • 240V socket at the booths, ideally a power strip
  • Healthy pull-up banners for HackerspaceSG and amateur radio
  • (exhibitors: please add anything else here)

TODO

  • Finalise list of participants
  • Sort out location(s) with participants and Science Centre
  • (rest of plan)
