I'm trying to come up with sample documents in SATySFI that are equivalent to the samples on https://polytype.dev. Right out of the gate with a hello-wold sample I'm having issues because all the document classes I can find are Japanese by default (stdja, stdjabook, etc.). I got a sample setup here but the output has header bars and other extra styling that is probably coming from the book macros. Also the hard requirements on having a title and author etc. seem a bit much for this situation.
Is there a more minimal English/Latin oriented document class I'm missing that would be simpler to start out on?

Unfortunately, although I have thought we should for a long time, we haven't provided a minimal document class for English/Latin scripts so far.
Using stdjareport for English texts is still a possible workaround because the results may not be shabby; it does not prevent ligatures, kerning, the hyphenation for word breaks, etc.
(As a side note, one can use cs-thesis to write English dissertations, for example. Indeed, I wrote my master's thesis by using this document class by myself.)
