Questions:

  • should we link to the resources in repository of schemas for the taxon, occurrence and event? I would prefer not to link to dataset classes page since this page would need updating (or should be removed) once the content is read in tech docs (I have added the links to rs.gbif.org for now)
  • which fields are required? For example, checklist data quality requirements currently has three tables; 1) taxon file, 2) EML file, 3) additionally required fields if a project is funded by a GBIF program. Did we agree to only have the required fields in the GBIF-funded table, and if so, which fields, if any, are required? The EML table will instead be a link and is the only one I am sort of certain of what is required or not.

Once the technical documentation is released, the IPT manual and the dataset classes page should be cleaned up.

The dataset classes page

  • should redirect to the technical documentation

IPT manual

  • all generic content should either be populated by sections from the tech docs or links to tech docs should be provided in relevant places
