[Feature Request] Respect Windows 10 built in theme conventions #13
Comments
I'd really love to have something like this. I'd like to use Quoll Writer but the bright white theme has been a deterrent because it hurts my eyes. :( A dark gray or similar theme would be greatly appreciated. |
That's just java, it is hard to make it integrate with any theming of any platform, being it windows, linux or mac. |
That's too bad. :( In that case, would a dark theme in the program itself be possible, instead of making it depend on Windows settings? |
As @Rabioli said it's near impossible to tie a Java UI into the native look-n-feel. However with v3 of QW it now supports stylesheets, so someone (it won't be me) might create platform specific stylesheets that integrate into the native look-n-feel. V3 does have a dark mode now though (although it still needs a little work) so that might help. |
I didn't realise there's a beta version that already has this, thanks for letting me know. I installed it and it looks great! :) |
Hey! I noticed that Quoll doesn't respect Windows 10 default theme conventions.
For instance, Windows 10 under Personalize> Colors> 'Choose your color' Drop down, you can select Dark. When in Dark Mode most programs and applications will follow the themes here. Dark Slate/Black with White/grey text.
Is it possible to make it respect Windows 10 theme colors like this?
