@michaelnmmeyer — I am not sure when this has changed but it seems that our database is now less good than it used to be about converting straight quotes to smart ones in our bibliographic entries.

I'd like to know if we can automate conversion of straight to smart quotes in zotero itself, or whether this can only be done manually, or whether there is no need because our database will once again do the work for us (as it used to to, I think) while grinding our xml data.
