Do we need to consider restructuring or renaming directories in this repo to make finding material easier? For example, should workshops/lessons be prepended with workshop- so they're grouped together?

We can also explain how to find things in the README.

I also want to point out that we have some "floating" files around that might need collection or better labeling somehow. I'm thinking of the vpn-crypto.md, datarescue.md, and advocacy.md files. Maybe we include those in a particular directory? That way, anyone coming into the Resources folder for the first time can see things clearly organized by:

  • workshop material
  • resources for promotion/marketing
  • resources for sessions/events like crypto parties
  • suggestions for advocacy
  • data stories

We can also think about completely restructuring the repos in the way that Library Carpentry does their work: https://github.com/LibraryCarpentry

I also want to note that we have a folder called slide-decks which are workshop-style materials -- but that breaks the convention we established elsewhere where each workshop has its own directory. We should probably remove slide-decks in favor of individual directories for each of the talks/workshops.

I've restructured the directories by pre-pending workshop-, talk-, or resource-. The slide-deck directory has been removed, and contents placed into new directories.

Much of this as been completed, but there are still some floating files that deserve some attention.

I've removed the resource-data-rescue file, as much of it was out of date and we do have a replacement (potentially) coming.

resource-data-advocacy is out of date, but could 1) be continually updated or 2) just house a few general resources about how data is used, what's available, broad threats, etc. or 3) deleted

resource-vpn-crypto should probably either be expanded or deleted. Thoughts?
