On a suggestion by @chadsansing, I'll work on assessing and redesigning my existing workshop slides to make them more flexible for adaptability. Any review of the slides for what's working vs. what's not would be helpful!

When I taught the OpenRefine workshop, I ran into an unexpected issue. I had everyone use Google Maps API for the demo because there isn't a key required, and everyone only looked up two locations. We immediately hit an API limit—a few of us got one location to return and several others didn't get anything. I realized that we were all on MSU's wifi and Google presumably saw a bunch of simultaneous hits from the same IP address and shut it off. I can't think of a way around this problem.
@brandontlocke, would it work if everyone was using a VPN (e.g. Opera's built-in option)? Installation and troubleshooting would take time from the workshop, though.
