Unsure how to contact efraimkaov

I am unsure how to contact @efraimkaov so am filing an issue. My email address and Twitter/X account can be found via my profile relatively easily so feel free to respond there or here. I received an invitation to join the orthodoxprojects organization but do not know who @efraimkaov is (the person that invited me). I was not invited on this specific account, but this is the account I would use for Orthodox-related projects. I am not saying I wish to join, but am inquiring about who invited me.

What I can say about myself is that I am an Orthodox Christian and I love Linux and open source in general.

Through the organization @orthodoxprojects I intend to create some projects related to Orthodoxy and an Orthodox Christian community.

The projects I intend to realize are:

• An application that plays isokratima with natural voices
• Orthodox Calendar in several languages ​​that supports several rules for fasting and Sunday Lectionary
• LibreOffice Writer templates for books that contain Orthodox Christian Services
• A repository containing texts of Orthodox Christian Services
• An application that contains texts of Orthodox Christian Services
• A dictionary with Orthodox Christian terms translated into several languages

I sent an invitation to several people who I thought would be interested in these projects, if you are interested you can accept otherwise feel free to ignore or reject

OK cool. I'm also an Orthodox Christian. I have similar interests, I just didn't know how you found my information or where you might know me from, or if you found me via GitHub somehow (the account you invited has nothing related to Orthodoxy to my knowledge, so I was curious if we perhaps have met somewhere, perhaps via any organizations such as the St. Paisios Brotherhood).

In case you hadn't seen this, I've been working on trying to determine what digital version of the NT conforms most closely to the Patriarchal GNT of 1904 w/revisions in 1912. See, e.g., https://qohelet.io/would-the-real-1904-slash-1912-patriarchal-greek-new-testament-patr-please-stand-up

Michael Colburn obtained a print copy of the 1912 which he scanned and made available at https://gitlab.com/ocmc/bible/pgnt

Based on this, I've generally found this to be the closest to the 1912 edition: https://ebible.org/bible/details.php?id=grcbyz (which was compiled by Adam Boyd, a Wycliffe translator).

I am part of a team that is working on publishing a (print) comparative Byzantine GNT and we will likely release the textual comparisons in some digital form once complete.

I used only the NT from Venice 1853 and from Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi 2017, but I am not familiar with the differences between the different editions

Do you have a link to the print (or other) edition of the NT from Venice 1853, or can you give me more information about it (publisher, etc.)?

Could you read the front matter (or photograph it) and tell/show me what it says about how the text was compiled? It is fine to simply photograph the Greek. The website mentions "manuscripts donated to the Monastery by Emperor John VI Kantakouzenos (14th century) and from the Gospel (11th century) donated to it by the Palaiologos dynasty's Andronikos II."

I only have the Greek-Romanian bilingual edition from Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi in electronic format this one

@efraimkaov I would second the implied suggestion that you provide a contact address of some sort. I was invited some while back presumably because of https://github.com/cmchittom/orthodox-christian-new-calendar-holidays but couldn't respond privately.

I'm fine with that (trivial) project being listed, if y'all want, but I do not have the bandwidth to be a member of the org.

I read with interest your list of proposed projects. I think those are fine, but if I—I am a reader (Чтецъ, αναγνώστης) and my wife leads our choir—had to pick some sort of automated helpful thing out of a hat, it would actually be to produce the variable stuff for a given day from the Menaion, Pentecostarion, and Octoechos. I'm sure copyright is an issue with a lot of that. Still: you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, as they say, so I figured I would mention it.

Being a member of the organization does not involve anything more than wanting to join our community which is currently around 50 people (of which only 3 people have set their visibility as public) and in this way we can know about the existence of the Orthodox Christian people on GitHub.

Of course, any contribution with code is always welcome, but the most important help is the prayer for this project and those who work for it.
