Currently, we only work with assertions/standard exceptions. For better error tracking, it would be better to define mpnum specific exceptions.

Should we collect a list candidates for exceptions? Things that come to my mind:

LengthError: Number of sites of two or more MPAs does not agree
PhysicalLegError: Dimension (or number, depending on setting) of physical legs of two or more MPAs do not agree
