Energy stats are collected/saved twice in a day

I've noticed that, sometimes, energy stats are collected/saved more than once in the same day. I have had occur to me a handful of times. I'm attaching a screenshot but let me know if there's any other information that would be helpful in troubleshooting this issue.

I haven't seen this behavior yet (fortunately) and only have one single bar per day. But I wonder if that is the best way to integrate with the energy usage functionality of HA. It seems to think (on my end as well) that all energy use from the prior day occurs at 3am the following day. And so on. I wish there was a finer grained way of tracking it.
