I checked other issues but I'm sure it is not only me. My laptop have an AMD R7 5700U. I should be able to boost it up to 4.3 GHz. But the boost state was not active. I did activate it whatever I did (I don't know what did I do), but I still can't boost. Here is the command and the prompt:
root@pkk-buker-3000:/home/turk-militani# cpupower frequency-set -f 2.5GHz
Setting cpu: 0
Error setting new values. Common errors:
- Do you have proper administration rights? (super-user?)
- Is the governor you requested available and modprobed?
- Trying to set an invalid policy?
- Trying to set a specific frequency, but userspace governor is not available,
for example because of hardware which cannot be set to a specific frequency
or because the userspace governor isn't loaded?
