• Completely overhaul the Pdxu-Editor.

  • Node jumps allow you to quickly jump to a definition
  • Common node jump location allow you to navigate to commonly used definitions in one click
  • Node tags provide a graphical preview or other information for some nodes, for example CK3 coat of arms
  • A navigation history allows you quickly go back and forth between the last nodes you navigated to

• External savegames and data files can now be edited with the editor as well

• The editor now has a settings menu with options to change the used external text editor and more

• Fix various small bugs when using an external editor

• Fix short array entries not writing the updated value when saving

• Most of the new editor features have been implemented for EU4 and CK3 only, support for other games will come soon.

Game Installations:

• Add specific support for various game distributions, including:
  • Steam
  • Windows Store / Xbox GamePass
  • Other Paradox Launcher distributions
  • Legacy launcher distributions for old games
  • Distributions without any launcher
• Improve auto-detection of games to hopefully detect more game installations automatically
• Improve user feedback and guidance when manually choosing a game installation directory

Savegames:

• Add ability to launch savegames while the game version is unknown. (A yellow status bar will indicate that compatibility is uncertain.)
• Add a report savegame button to report an issue specific to a savegame
• Make savegame names only appear when they are custom to avoid showing the date twice
• Make parsing of ironman savegames more efficient
• Savegames that are already imported but fail to load can now be exported and edited
• Add ability to export savegame storage into an existing backup directory to allow for incremental storage backups

CK3:

• Fix Ironman converter outputting invalid savegames
• Add renderer support for more rare coat of arms features
• CK3 savegame file headers are now understood and handled correctly
• Fix editor writing wrong meta_data for compressed savegames

Misc

• Add basic support for both Crusader Kings 2 and Victoria 2
• Add a custom notification sound when a keyboard shortcut is recognized
• Rework status bar look and also add option to launch savegame in debug mode
• Add a reload button to reload all game data
• Add icons for drag and drop operations
• Reduce cpu load when running in the background
• The game background image is now chosen randomly from the set of all possible game loading screens
• Fix issue that prevented EU4 1.31 from launching with Steam correctly
