What is the user problem or growth opportunity you want to see solved?

Recently, the objects that already have an image are also displayed for searched images.

I would find it helpful if all categories of an image already available via Wikidata were offered for selection.

How do you know that this problem exists today? Why is this important?

In my opinion, this would simplify the assignment and help to ensure that the most suitable categories are selected when uploading.

Who will benefit from it?

all users

Anything else you would like to add?

I am not sure to understand. Would you mind editing to add a real-world example, citing the real-world objects/categories? Thanks!

@nicolas-raoul

There is already a picture (“Picture A”) for a Wikidata object (Q7969836).
I would like to upload another (“Picture B”) picture related to the same Wikidata object (Q7969836) to Commons.
When uploading (“Picture B”), I want the Commons app to offer all the categories (first) in which “Picture A” is.

Exmaple:

(Is that easier to understand?)

Good idea, thanks!
Especially useful when a Wikidata item does not have a dedicated Commons category.
