No executable; unsure how to launch on Windows #29
Comments
Did you download the source code? It should be a .7z file that contains the exe file. Yup! EDIT: Excuse me, I forgot what was in the 7z file. There's an exe in the app folder located in the .7z file but you don't launch it through that, in the 7z file is a .Ink shortcut file which is used to launch the program. Make sure to extract all the files into a folder and open that to launch Cloe. |
Okay, progress but I'm still not understanding.
I extracted all of the 7z files and found the shortcut file you were referencing (I'd recommend adding that detail to the main page), but I don't understand the "extract all files" bit. I double clicked the lnk, the command prompt opened briefly, and then nothing else happened. Did you mean I need to also extract the files with the book images and put it in the same folder as the extracted 7z? Because if so, that's not clear at all. |
Oh, nevermind. I see that it opens in your tray. Mine hid the desktop icon by default so it was easy to miss. Another thing I recommend happens in the FAQ/how to use! |
I downloaded the zip file and made sure all of it's components are where they should be re:the FAQ. But there's no exe, no msi. Instructions say to "launch" the application but there's nothing to launch.
