  • I have checked for a similar issue and sure it hasn't been reported before.

Describe the bug
Using Melda Production plugins on my M1 Macbook Pro with EQ Mac. Turning off and on effect using the EQ Mac Slider (green/red toggle) causes the plugin to reset, erasing my EQ settings. Same for all my other plugins (reverb/phaser etc.)

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Add plugin in "extra effects" area
  2. Make a change to your plugin
  3. Turn plugin off
  4. Turn plugin on

Expected behaviour
I expect the plugin to continue to keep the settings that I made to it, even when the toggle is off. If this requires more computer resources to keep it on (bypassed) in the background, I would be happy to pay that tradeoff.

Setup information:

  • Audio device used for playback: Headphones
  • Audio transmission interface: 3.5mm Jack
  • macOS Version: Sequoia 15.1
  • eqMac Version 1.8.9
  • eqMac UI Version 5.1.5

Thanks for your help! I just made a lifetime purchase, fantastic app otherwise

Thanks for the response! It is still happening in 1.8.10.

The setting stays if I switch from one preset to another. But if I am in a preset, change a setting, then turn off and on the effect. It gets reverted back to how it was when the preset was switched to. Let me know if I communicated that adequately. I can share a video if helpful.
