Guake wayland/xwayland application blur issues, blur resets to unblurred upon toggle.

I'm having issues where my drop down terminal Guake does not remember it's blur state, when toggled with hotkey it appears without blur effect and does not kick in until i select focus to another program with my mouse, see vid for effect:

Can't see anything special in the journal
