Prerequisites

Description

I noticed the syntax highlighting stops/fails when there is a variable immediately following two open angle brackets, e.g. <<base in a for-each statement. Every line following <<base loses its syntax highlighting. I noticed this bug from the code I saw here.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load the file into the editor: https://github.com/SwanstromLab/tools/blob/master/v3_for_g2p.rb

Expected behavior:

Continued syntax highlighting after <<base as Notepad++ is capable of doing.

Actual behavior:

It stops highlighting the code after finding <<base in a for-each loop. It might do this in other types of statements. If I put a space between the angle brackets and variable name the syntax highlighting starts working again.

Reproduces how often:

100%.
