What do you think about texture healing?

Hi Paul. A few days ago, GitHub announced their custom font family that supports texture healing. I've never seen this technique before, but it looks really interesting. What're your thoughts on it?

This is a very interesting concept. In fact, I have been considering a similar type of approach for accomplishing the coding "ligatures" that have been requested, so I may look at ways I can implement a strategy similar to this for the letters at the same time.
