Inventory and Start Spawn reset?

While I entered the world the first thing I see is how the surroundings look when you first spawn into the game and the inventory items I had gathered from the nether previously were now scattered around the floor. while gathering the items and breaking the surroundings in confusion as to the surroundings I then see the stone area had replaced many of my generators and other belongings I had as well as my nether portal. I attempted to restart my computer then repeat the steps to open stoneblock and came to the same result. Very irritating as it removed nearly half of my progress of expansion as well as different productions. Is there any way to return my progress before the sudden removal of my work?
