A type of carousel I see and have been recently asked to build shows several slides in view, but also a portion of the left and right slides that will be fully visible if the user moves to the next or previous slides. Usually the slide to the left and right that are only partially visible (50%, or a customized offset), they are also faded partially in some fashion.
