It seems socos is not properly licensed, even though I think it is meant to be MIT licensed from looking at pypi metadata. There should be a file which contains the full license and copyright notice, as well as an explicit declaration that the code is under that license (either in the readme or at the top of each source file). The SoCo package did this correctly if you just want to copy that.
