The vtk actor is connected to the ArUco tag in a problematic manner. Initially, when the tag was detected the actor disappeared. It was only visible when the tag was moved far enough from the camera (about 2m away) and the offset between the tag location and the projection of the vtk actor was unexpectedly large. Possibly issue is also due to problem with unknown/incorrect marker size.
SUGGESTIONS TO THE AUTHORS / OTHER FEEDBACK
The installation instructions should start with downloading the files from the repo and then installing via the requirements.txt file found in the repo.

I would strongly suggest providing a camera calibration program, instead of a fixed camera matrix.
The rigid tracking of the markers also depends on the known marker size (otherwise transformation known up to scale). It is unclear what is the expected marker size in mm. When printing it, the settings should probably not use "fit to page". This will be an issue when default paper sizes are possible A4/letter.
