vector: choice of to/from direction?

Hi ncWMS,
It would be great if there was an extra configuration parameter to select what direction the vectors are drawn when combining the u/v components. Currently, ncWMS defaults to only the "to" direction, which is the oceanographic convention for ocean currents. However, the meteorological convention for wind is the opposite "from" direction. Would be nice to be able to toggle the vectors that ncWMS draws in either direction with a simple "to" or "from" URL parameter named "direction" (or something akin to that). Many thanks for a great product, which has been useful to our users for years. I pass along this suggestion from one of our users.

Hi John, what style are you using to plot the data? There should be a corresponding meterorological_<style> which has the vector direction reversed.

Thanks, Guy. That's encouraging to hear. I did not read mention of this feature in the user guide <https://reading-escience-centre.gitbooks.io/ncwms-user-guide/content/04-usage.html>. (Also, I think you have a small typo for meteorological_.) However, I'm not having any luck getting this to work. Please note that this is using the ncWMS in our TDS <https://pae-paha.pacioos.hawaii.edu/thredds/catalog/wrf_hi/catalog.html?dataset=wrf_hi/WRF_Hawaii_Regional_Atmospheric_Model_best.ncd>. Our TDS is at version 4.6.14. On our website, I use the stumpvec style. But on our mapping platform, I give the user the ability to choose from any of the vector styles and color bars. Ah, yes it doesn't look like those styles are supported in TDS. In fact, the styles are all specific to TDS - ncWMS doesn't natively support stumpvec, vector, or barb (by those names). I think this is one for the Unidata team - ncWMS has supported these for a while, so it's either a case of updating to the latest version (which they may have already done in a later TDS version), or explicitly including styles with the revered arrow style.

As an aside, we don't support wind barbs with a reversed direction, because (I believe) they are already strictly defined, unlike general arrows.
