Would it be possible to shoot for a network coupling of USB-Stick@raspi and HA?
My HA server is in the basement 😬

Currently my stick runs on a raspi with a rather weird nodered logic which I certainly would line to renew. This takes mqtt blind commands from HA.

There are two options in my head which already works:

  1. Install Home Assistant on your RasPi and connect your Main HA Server and your RasPi with remote home assistant
  2. You can use any device path which is supported by pyserial URL handler

I'm currently using option 1 as I have other stuff like ZHA installed on RasPi as well. I disabled recording on RasPi as much as possible to avoid issues with SD Card. This works pretty well.

You may also use the network cable as usb extenstion. To do so, you just need on both network cable ends an USB 2.0 RJ45 Ethernet Extender Adapter or you can you use USB 2.0 type A plug/socket to 4-pin screw terminal adapter connector.
