Raod-Accident-Dashboard-

Overview

This repository contains an Excel-based interactive dashboard designed to visualize road accident data. The dashboard presents a comprehensive overview of various aspects of road accidents, including fatal, serious, and slight casualties, as well as detailed breakdowns by road type, surface condition, light condition, vehicle type, and geographical area.

Key Features

Total Casualties Overview:

Fatal Casualties: 7,135 (1.7%)

Serious Casualties: 59,312 (14.2%)

Slight Casualties: 351,436 (84.1%)

Car Casualties: 333,485 (79.8% of total casualties)

Casualties by Road Surface:

Dry Surface: 279,445 incidents

Wet Surface: 115,261 incidents

Snow/Ice: A small proportion of incidents

Casualties by Road Type:

Single Carriageway: 309.7k incidents

Dual Carriageway: 67.4k incidents

Roundabout: 26.8k incidents

Casualties by Area:

Urban: 162k incidents

Rural: 255.9k incidents

Casualties by Light Condition:

Daylight: 305k incidents

Darkness: 112.9k incidents

Casualties by Vehicle Type:

Cars: 333,485 incidents

Goods Vehicles: 33,472 incidents

Buses/Coaches: 12,798 incidents

Motorcycles: 33,672 incidents

Other Vehicles: Various counts

Monthly Trend (2021 vs 2022):

A comparison of casualties over the months of 2021 and 2022, showing trends in accident frequencies.

Filter Capabilities

The dashboard allows for filtering by:

Accident Date: Select accidents from different years (2021, 2022, 2023).

Area Type: Filter by Rural or Urban areas.

How to Use

Prerequisites Microsoft Excel (2016 or later recommended)

Instructions

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine: git clone https://github.com/Profbla2020/Raod-Accident-Dashboard-.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory: cd road-accident-dashboard
  3. Open the Road_Accident_Dashboard.xlsx file using Microsoft Excel.
  4. Explore the dashboard by interacting with the filters and data visualizations directly within Excel.
