Underwater biomes?

I've always thought that even after the aquatic update, vanilla Minecraft's oceans were super empty and desolate, considering most of earth's life is found in our oceans. I know this isn't really like an actual idea for a feature, but I'd love an underwater biomes or 2 to add loads of ambience :)
