GO would like to collect organismal level plant developmental processes under the grouping term "plant gross anatomical part developmental process", with a logical definition of 'developmental process' and ('results in development of' some 'plant gross anatomical part') geneontology/go-ontology#22994. Thus we would like to request for such a PO term.

For reference, Uberon has a standing ticket to create an equivalent term animal gross anatomical part. obophenotype/uberon#2921 to be used in the LD of another new GO term "animal gross anatomical part developmental process".

Thank you.

How would this term be different from our existing upper level class "plant anatomical entity"?

I think gross anatomical part usually is macroscopic and above cell level.

Any plant structure below the cell level is in GO

I think for example, portion of plant substance and plant cell would not be considered types of 'plant gross anatomical part'. The idea of the GO term "plant gross anatomical part developmental process" is to collect developmental processes that cause the formation of multicellular plant parts like flower, root, leaf, etc.
