I see that this project seems to be using an ancient version of Django that is out of support - how do you handle this?

Are you applying security patches yourself, so effectively maintaining your own fork of Django?

What are your ideas about that?

I am quite concerned that this project still seems to be based on very old and unsupported software - please explain and help me understand, why you think this is ok. Thanks!
