Issues compiling .Rnw file with SC template #1

I'm trying to compile .Rnw files using the SC tex template for SC20, but it is failing to compile. I'm attaching 2 very simple examples of .Rnw files (saved a .txt as I couldn't load .Rnw here) - one with the template the other without. The .cls and logo are in the same directory as my files. I'll have a go with Quarto to see if it's possible.
