For the Serial Interface, I think we still need a timeout for the read if no response is coming back.

This setting is not bubbled up through the Modbus API. We should discuss the importance of this feature and find out if there is a reason it's hardcoded to 10s in the API.

After talking with the API creator, this timeout is dynamically set based off the baud rate.
